Living in Black and White®

This is Yana Hofileña's digital portfolio, "Living in Black and White®", a showcase of her extreme fondness for black and white photography, photo blogging, and reviews.

The Author is an impersonator of a photographer since she does not own the typical D-SLR camera which photographers in this day and age use (It is too expensive), reads no instruction books about photography (I cannot afford one), and does no calculations (Do I really have to?).

The Author being a mass communication student in a state university wants to put into practice her course and does it through taking photographs which serves as an excellent framework to develop her visual communication skills and way of speaking photographically.

The Author has this deep need to liberate herself from the confines of conventional photography along with its any set of rules and guidelines on how it should be done. Though photography is highly technical and if you wish to mystify yourself with its complexities, fine. To each his own.

Lastly, since the Author is on the egotistical side, she knows when to be told, likes to do things as she do, and captures images as she sees them but in black and white of course.
